Quick Facts About Women’s Hormones

Timing

Hormones can begin changing before menopause.

Perimenopause may begin years before your final menstrual period and can cause noticeable changes in sleep, mood, cycles, energy, and sexual health.

Balance

It’s not just about estrogen.

Estrogen, progesterone, and testosterone all play different roles in women’s health and may be considered when evaluating symptoms.

Treatment

Treatment should be individualized.

There is no universal hormone regimen. Your symptoms, health history, labs, age, and goals all help determine whether hormone therapy is appropriate and what treatment may look like.

What to Expect at Your First Visit

  1. Your consultation

Your consultation begins with a detailed conversation about your symptoms, menstrual or menopause history, sleep, nutrition, activity level, stress, sexual health, lifestyle, and overall goals.

We’ll also discuss lifestyle factors that can support healthy hormone function, including nutrition, strength training, quality sleep, stress management, and maintaining a healthy body composition.

  2. Same-day in-house labs

Lab work is completed in-house the same day as your consultation, so there’s no need to visit a third-party lab.

Once your results are available, we’ll review them with you in detail and explain important hormone and health markers, how they may relate to your symptoms, and areas that may be improved through treatment or lifestyle changes.

  3. Your personalized plan

From there, we’ll create an individualized plan based on your symptoms, lab results, medical history, stage of life, and goals.

Our focus is not simply on a lab number. It’s on helping you understand what’s happening in your body and developing a plan to support your energy, sleep, mood, sexual health, body composition, and overall quality of life.
